To all friends, actors, and volunteers of the New Jersey Renaissance Festival and Kingdom:
I know many of you have been wondering about the plans for this year's upcoming season.
I'm sorry for the delay, guys. I've been having a hard time trying to figure out how I can split myself 10 different ways. When I was laid up for 8 weeks with 3 broken ribs (which really slowed me down), I had a lot of time to think about the future. Many different thoughts came to me about needing to try some new ideas in life. So, in order for that to happen, we are going to try something new for the festival this year.
We are going to hire Period Productions to do a portion of the festival this year. Now, I'm sure one of your first questions might be: how will this effect me as an actor/volunteer? We are hoping: not at all.
Period Productions will be auditioning for opening, closing, chess, martial tourney, and wenches. They will be doing this for the NJRK this year.
There will be 2 different audition times. On Friday, March 12th, at Noreen's house, 7:30, there will be auditions for Fairy tales, Commedia, Revelers, Villagers and Puppets. Those new to the NJRK can e-mail me at ladyauralia@yahoo.com for directions. Period Productions will soon be notifying everyone on when they will be auditioning.
This is just another adventure for to try. We all are planning on it being Fun as always.
As, I am writing this letter to you, Renaissance friends and family, it made me stop and reflect on the many changes we have conquered together over the years This could never have been accomplished without you. All of us working together for many years as a team. Yay Team!
As always, a Kingdom for a stage!
Have a grand day,
Noreen Dunn
