The Gutter Demons / The Omega Men / The Silverhounds

Friday

Since their unholy birth in 2001, Gutter Demons have been tearing up the scene across Canada, USA and Europe with their intense stage shows, raucous rock n' roll music, red-blooded Rockabilly roots, Punk and Heavy Metal potency and downright dirty musicianship. This hard-working three-piece band brought their unique approach to their genre.

The Demons “psycho-sound” is refreshing and deeper than most of their contemporary peers. Gutter Demons take great pride in releasing rich & well written albums. After all, the Devil has always had the best tunes! Quickly becoming Canada's most recognized disciples of high-octane Psychobilly, they have gained a strong worldwide following playing their unique brand of mutant Rock n’ roll.

The Omega Men have risen out of the fallout of NYC's psychobilly wasteland. Combining influences from rockabilly, surf, 80s punk, metal, and psychobilly, The Omega Men play music for the misfits and mutants scavenging the wastelands of the post-apocalypse for the best in atomic rock and roll.

Seamlessly blending Metal, Punk, and Rockabilly, The Silverhounds deliver manic, high energy music with a live show to match. With influences such as Motorhead, Iron Maiden, Meshuggah, Reverend Horton Heat, Stray Cats, and Metallica, they live by their creed: Resonus, Rapidus, Brutalis... Loud, Fast, and Hard

Drivin’ Wheel / Bourbon Express / Cosmic American Derelicts

Saturday

Jeannie and the Drivin’ Wheel is a rockin’ country quartet from the Jersey Shore.

Bourbon Express takes its cues from traditional country artists such as Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard and Loretta Lynn, preferring "three chords and the truth," close-knit harmonies and old-fashioned twang to the modern country sound. Band members include singer-songwriter Katie Curley, vocalist/percussionist Sarah Kinsey, and guitarist Brendan Curley. Their mission is to make toes tap and taps flow.

The Lustre Kings / Miss Laurie Ann & The Saddletones

Friday

The Lustre Kings boast a devoted international fanbase and continue to perform over 150 dates a year, including regular stops at nightspots, festivals and casinos like Tip Top Deluxe, Skinny Dennis and The Continental Club; Viva Las Vegas, Heritage Folk Festival and the Rockin 50s Fest; and the Potawamoti Hotel. Gamsjager, a Gretsch guitars endorsee who has taught for the National Guitar Workshop, has been a guest at prestigious venues ranging from Kennedy Center (Washington DC) to the Montreal Jazz Fest. Atlanta’s Creative Loafing got it right when they said, The Lustre Kings have a sound so powerful, it leaves listeners hungry for more.”

One doesn’t typically think of Irvington New Jersey as a source for Roots song-writers. But when your Daddy raised you on a steady diet of Hank Williams records along with various swing and blues artists of the time, and your Momma played steel guitar, it’s gets in your blood fast. Miss Laurie Ann started writing songs at an early age and has developed an extensive collection of tight, well crafted songs that tell stories of love, come and gone. Much in the tradition of The Blasters and The Paladins, her musical style is “American Music”, combining elements of 50’s rhythm & blues, rockabilly, traditional country and swing.

Scott Helland Guitarmy of One /This Way to the Egress / Bellas Bartok

Thursday

Armed with his trademark Godin Multiac guitar, Helland has created a musical world of his own combining his love of movie soundtracks, punk rock and Celtic and Gypsy styles into a quirky melodic brew of instrumental acoustic guitar music. “Driving, propulsive and utterly enjoyable to listen to.” Currently Scott is the guitarist and co-founder of the internationally touring New York based Euro-American Alternative Folk duo, Frenchy and the Punk with singer Samantha Stephenson.

This Way to the Egress

Formed in 2008, This Way to the EGRESS is a 6-piece accordion led ensemble hailing from Bethlehem, PA.

Since their start, EGRESS has tried to find a box in which they could fit themselves, however finding a box to fit six members playing accordion’s, tuba’s, electric guitar’s, trombone’s, piano’s, and drum’s would need to be a rather large box. So they move forth doing what they do best, incorporating elements of punk, Balkan, Klezmer, blues, reggae and ragtime with Americana Folk-Rock causing a genre defying sound that P.T. Barnum would be proud of.

Enter Text

To understand Bella’s Bartok, imagine what you would get if Salvador Dali and Toulouse Lautrec were fronting the Moulin Rouge’s house band, and you have the exuberant spectacle that is Bella’s Bartok. Described as “about as much fun as you can have with your pants on” (Dan Wolovick, Two Way Monologues), this 6-piece powerhouse melds Bohemian Klezmer Punk with pop sensibilities into an eminently danceable party. The diversity of musicians that make up Bella’s Bartok, combined with their boundless energy on stage, has been known to break a dancefloor, or two (or three, but who’s counting?). Their sound moves way beyond labels, pushing the envelope towards the darker side of Eastern European music, referencing vaudeville and 20th century eclecticism.

The Bella’s Bartok line-up includes: Asher Putnam (Vocals, Bass, all-around entertainer), Dan Niederhauser (Guitar and Vocals), Amory Drennan (Trombone/Banjo and Vocals), Crisco (Drums/Percussion and Trumpet), Gershon Rosen (Trumpet), and Alex Kogut (Accordion, Keyboard). The band has shared the stage with musicians and acts such as Rubblebucket, Red Baraat, The Indigo Girls, Larry & His Flask, The Suitcase Junket, Parsonsfield, And the Kids, Kanye, Rough Francis, Beau Sasser’s Escape Plan, West End Blend, Adam Ezra Group, Meat Puppets, World Inferno/Friendship Society, Rupa & the April Fishes, Arc Iris, and many more.

With multiple awards under their belts, including The Valley Advocate’s Best Band in the Valley 2014 and The Deli Magazine’s Best of New England (twice!), this eclectic group of guys have carefully crafted a sound that is part strange and creepy, part pop gold. With an aura of theatricality, Bella’s Bartok shows not only entertain, but they invite you to partake in the wild party they are having on stage, to involve yourself in the spectacle. Quite simply put- this is the band you should never miss, ever.

Folly a Deux / Puppy Grease / Flying Fingers Jug Band

Friday

Folly a deux is the love child of This Way to the EGRESS. Tyrant Taylor & Saddle Sarah star in a bawdy comedy duo who sing songs about love, life and sex.

Greasy three chord unmelodic narratives with a banjo player, Uke, Washtub Bass, Box, Trombone, Trumpet, and Xylophone of Wrenches....

Accentuating the jug sound of the prohibition-era South in their take on acoustic Americana, the Flying Fingers Jug Band has established a unique, genre-defying sound that has consistently wowed a variety of audiences in the New York metropolitan area. Featuring an eclectic mix of musical implements including the washboard, wash tub bass, fiddle, jug, dobro, mandolin, saw, banjo, kazoo, mouth harp, and stove pipe to complement their gritty yet soulful appeal, FFJB’s diverse set fuses the energy of post-prohibition revelry, the vocal harmonies of bluegrass, and the authenticity of a juke joint making for a fantastic live experience.

A Night of  Rock 'n' Roll with Billy Burnette!

Friday

Born in Memphis, singer/songwriter/guitarist, Dorsey William Burnette III (aka Billy Burnette), spent most of his youth in the presence of father Dorsey and Uncle Johnny (of the legendary Rock and Roll Trio).  The Trio made the Rockabilly name famous by combining the name Billy and his cousin Rocky for the 1953 “Rockabilly Boogie” – thus making the term Rockabilly a household name. Billy has been recording hit records since the age of 11 and touring with Brenda Lee by 13!

In his early 20’s, Billy played guitar for Roger Miller, Dorsey Burnette, and was recording records and writing for such hit makers as Rod Stewart, Ray Charles, Roy Orbison, Tammy Wynette, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Everly Brothers, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, Glen Campbell, Eddy Raven, and many more.

During the 80s Billy Burnette signed the biggest solo record recording deal in history with Columbia Records, formed the band Mick Fleetwood’s Zoo with Mick Fleetwood, was nominated as “Best New Male Vocalist” by the Academy of Country Music, and joined Fleetwood Mac, one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Billy toured with Fleetwood Mac between 1987-1995 and appears on such records as: The Chain, Fleetwood Mac/Greatest Hits, Behind the Mask and The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac.

Since then, Billy’s songs were being recorded by such famed artists as: Roy Orbison, Ray Charles, Rod Stewart, Cher, Faith Hill, and Greg Allman, Bonnie Raitt and Ray Charles, and George Strait.

Billy Burnette contributed his talents as a guitar player and singer on tours with legendary musicians Bob Dylan and John Fogerty. Additionally, Burnette has also collaborated regularly with the Mick Fleetwood Band.

2017 Billy released his newst album “Crazy Like Me” during 2017, which is being hailed as a modern rockabilly master pieace , and the book “Crazy Like Me” that tells Billy’s amazing rock and roll journey.

Billy Will be performing live at Roxy and Dukes, March 9, 2017. Backing Billy will be the power house trio of David Uosikkinen on drums, (The Hooters.Robert Gordon, Charlie Gracie, Cyndi Lauper, Rod Stewart, Alice Cooper, Patty Smyth,),  Kenny Aaronson on Bass, (Rolling Stone’s Bassist of the Year, The Yardbirds, Bob Dylan, Brian Setzer, Mick Taylor, Hall and Oates, Dave Edmunds, Joan Jett, Billy Idol…) and on guitar is Quentin Jones (Robert Gordon, Reach Around Rodeo Clowns, Hermans Hermits , Linda Gail Lewis, Charlie Gracie, Gretsch Guitar endorser, Rockabilly Hall of Fame inductee)

Pin-Up Darling / Coebell Superstar / The Easy Outs

Friday

Pinup Darling is a totally bitchin' experimental, immaculate, and delicious musical duo from Nazareth, Pennsylvania.

COWBELL SUPERSTAR is a new and exciting band carrying the torch of 70's glam with a fresh slant. There's a touch of good ole punk and metal sprinkled in there too.

The songs were written by me (Timm) before getting the band together. I wanted them to be played by fun people who were also great musicians.

We've worked up a set of catchy rockers that at times are darkly funny and don't go on long enough to be boring.

We all agreed the show was as important as the music-a stage spectacle was necessary. It's important to us that the audience go home smiling and feeling thoroughly entertained.

“Holy crap! Is it the '70s again? I just heard an album by The Easy Outs and I could swear that they are a band made up of musicians from that era, having attained some synthesis of the pop, crunch and glam that made bands like AC/DC, New York Dolls and Sweet worth hearing (with occasional sides of The Bay City Rollers and The Ramones in their lighter moments). Throw in a touch of Slade and I think I have it nailed down, by golly. Frank O. Gutch Jr.-rockandreprise”

Crack The Sky

Sunday

Crack the Sky is an American progressive rock band formed in Weirton, West Virginia in the mid-1970s. In 1975, Rolling Stone declared their first album “debut album of the year”, and in 1978, Rolling Stone Record Guide compared them to Steely Dan. The Beauty Of Nothing is the latest release from Crack The Sky, issued late in 2015. It signals a return of Crack The Sky to their earlier hard rock/prog sound. An editorial review states: “Not since the band’s incredibly popular White Music CD, has Crack The Sky delivered a collection of pop/rock songs that sting while making you smile. Satirical, smirky commentary, wrapped in up tempo  yes, you can dance to it  music. Writer, Palumbo, has either hit a manic phase or is attempting to get our attention via the back door. In any event, this remarkable band, once again, shows their ability to shift gears while keeping their artistic integrity intact.”

The band features original members John Palumbo (lead vocals/guitar), Rick Witkowski (guitar/vocals) & Joey D’Amico (drums/vocals) alongside tenured members Bobby Hird (guitar/vocals), Glenn Workman (keys/vocals) and Dave DeMarco (bass/vocals).

Blud Red Roses / Ms. America / Raw Pain Down

Saturday

A trio based in Central New Jersey, Blud Red Roses is comprised of veterans of the Tri-State music scene. The bands sound draws from a wide range of influences; from metal, modern hard rock and even punk. A sound that is familiar and brand new all at the same time. Their energetic live shows convey the passion they have for their music and for performing live.

Ms. America is a punk group from the depths of Bergen County New Jersey. Quite literally considered "bottom of the barrel types" by the community, Ms. America produces hi energy, no bullshit rock music. Forced into a D.I.Y mentality at an early age, Ms. America produces a raw melodic sound that has not been properly represented in a very, VERY long time.

Get ready for the pain. Raw Pain Down are an all-original progressive slamming rock metal band with great feel and taste . There are no limits to RPD

Hot Damn Scandel / TBA

Tuesday

“Hot Damn scandal performs music that seems to be carved out of the broken heart of the American dream… you feel like you have heard these songs all your life. These are your favorite boots, your lucky hat, your Saturday night shirt, Your old dog that disappeared after the rain” – Scott Casey

“It’s as if Django Reinhardt himself is sitting in with them, in spirit and sound”  – Anna Rankin with What’s up Magazine

“The songs are a mix of raucous minor key rockers and arrestingly tender ballads.” – Robert Sarazin Blake

“Verily I say unto you… [hot] damned [scandal]… is… great” – Jesus Christ

“This… group… is… just [tits]” – Ronald Reagan

Hot Damn Scandal finds its songs under park benches and in forgotten alleyways. The resulting outlaw ballads, dirty jazz, circus freakouts, shanty-rags, string band funk, lonesome heart-breakers, and whiskey bottle love songs blend together in a sweet song syrup somewhere between a ramble and a roar. Sometimes called ‘Tipsy American Gypsy Blues’, Hot Damn Scandal pulls no punches and and puts thunder in your molasses.

DELTA JACKSON with guests Tam Garcia, Words in Flight

Saturday

Singer-Songwriter Tam Garcia has been performing since he was fourteen years old. He has performed at local coffee houses, train stations, various community events, and concert venues. This past October Tam made his theatrical debut in Rooftop Theatre Collaborative’s production of the musical Tick, Tick…Boom originally written by American composer and playwright, Jonathan Larson (Rent). And was most recently in a production of The Eleventh Hour, which premiered at the Hudson Theatre in NYC to a sold out run. He was the lead vocalist, guitarist, and principal songwriter for Garden State Line, who were nominated for Best Rock Band by the Asbury Park Music Awards in 2014 and 2015, and was the House Band for the Stone Pony in Asbury Park for 4 years. He has also toured the USA and has performed in Europe. He is currently working on his first solo record.

Words In Flight is a band based on the original songs of Drew Brightbill who relocated back to the East Coast from Colorado.  The addition of Paul Gauldi on upright bass has added a rich sonic depth to help fill out the sound. The duo acts as the core of WIF but the band can perform as up to a 5 piece. They are just making their entrance into the greater Philadelphia, New York, Central PA and East Coast scene with their laid back yet uplifting, introspective and feel good set of unique songs. Stylistically, they fall into the category of acoustic rock, indie and folk, with touches of jazz and pop.

Words In Flight recently released a 5-song EP, "From Whence We Came", produced by Mike "Slo-Mo" Brenner and featuring appearances by a handful of Phila local players. They have a forthcoming single which features members of the Hot Club of Philadelphia as well as Jenny Conlee of the Decemberists..  They often draw comparisons to Death Cab For Cutie and The Decemberists.  In Colorado, Words In Flight earned the distinction of Best Local Band by the local Boulder newspaper, The Colorado Daily.

EchoTest / Ryche Chlanda and Flying Dreams

Saturday

EchoTest is the bass-centric progressive rock brainchild of Julie Slick (Adrian Belew Power Trio, Crimson ProjeKct) and Italian musician Marco Machera (Paul Gilbert). The sound they create is not quite what one would expect from a couple of traditionally low end instruments; it’s a reinvention of the role of solo electric bass and brilliantly displays the songwriting abilities of the duo… a captivating combination of loop music, ambient dreamy soundscapes and interlocking bass patterns, always melodic yet aggressive and edgy at times. Their live show also features drummer Alessandri Inolti (Fabrizio Morro) and Philly-area vocalist + multi-instrumentalist Jenny Founds (Start Making Sense).

Ryche Chlanda is an accomplished guitarist. He has been a musician, vocalist, songwriter, composer and producer for over thirty years.

Chicago guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Nick Moss is a bona fide bluesman down to his soul. He is a 30-year veteran of the city’s take-no-prisoners blues scene. He paid his dues gigging in Chicago's rough and tumble West and South side blues clubs under the tutelage of some of the city's greatest blues luminaries.

Living Blues says, “Dennis Gruenling is a contemporary harmonica master…impressive, genuine and fresh-sounding.” Now, recording together for the first time, The Nick Moss Band Featuring Dennis Gruenling makes their Alligator Records debut with The High Cost Of Low Living, a dream come true for both musicians.

Bongo Boy Records BASH

Sunday

Above The Sun - I have not enjoyed an album this much since I heard Green Day back when they were still playing shows in the Bay Area. Above The Sun has an infectious groove that ideally straddles both worlds, Pop and Punk. The hooks are catchy and definite earworm material while there is still more than a trace of good old Punk Rock attitude. You really need to check these guys out; - The Grouch

Gar Francis will lead his band for some Blues, Rock and Pop originals. Several Bongo Boy Records artists guests will be performing with the Gar Francis Band. Check back for complete list of names.

Band Members Brianna Rose: Vocals Jeff Hornlien: Guitar Jay Oliver: Bass Johnny Rox: Drums, Synth Anthems For Autumn is a New Jersey hard rock/electronic band that hails from the Point Pleasant area of the state. Anthems For Autumn was formed in December of 2014, when members of two different local bands decided to get together and start a new project.
