Glenn Alexander & Shadowland / The Lonesome Pines

Ladies and people:  Glenn Alexander & Shadowland is a killin’, soulful rock band with an impeccable pedigree - most are members of Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes.  And Shadowland has got it all goin’ on:  a smokin’ horn section, the one and only New York Horns;  two backup/lead female vocalists, Oria Aspen & Heather Marks; a groovin’ rhythm section, with burnin’ guitar and lead vocals from veteran guitar ace Glenn Alexander.  It is guitar-driven, horn-laced, in-your-face, soulful, blues-drenched music! Shadowland is sharin’ the night with The Lonesome Pines, a great band with stories and songs that you will love with excellent musicianship to boot. This is the one-and-only New Jersey show for these bands in May, so you do not want to miss this night of fun, kick-ass music – c’mon out!!!

Tank and The Bangas / Sweet Crude

Tank and The Bangas were formed in 2011 at an open mic set in New Orleans, centered at a shot gun house, Jerk Chicken Sam’iches and a drum set. Instantaneously this group knew that they had something that stirred crowds that cried out for original music from them. If you’re from New Orleans, you know all the ingredients to make a good gumbo. Your seasonings have to mix well, your roux has to be thick, and your meat has to be cut to perfection. Tank and The Bangas are what you call a great gumbo! Originating in New Orleans, Tank and The Bangas have all the qualities that relates them, to the city that birth them but a flair that separates them as well. Their performances range from being “One of the most energetic shows you’ll ever see” to “A gospel tent in Mississippi”. Rummaging through their sound like a thrift store hippie, you’ll find the Bangas to provoke a musical reference of Rhythmic Soul and Spoken word among other genres such as Rock, Gospel, Funk, and Folk. Combining the various musical technique among the Bangas, coupled with the instilling play on lyrics from the lead vocalist; Tank and The Bangas have quilted a unique sound that singles them as one of the most distinctive groups to come out of New Orleans.
Group members include Tank/ Lead vocalist/Norman Spence on Bass/keyboard, Joshua Johnson/Drums, Merell Burkett/keys/ Nita Bailey/Percussion; and various other Bangas.

Sweet Crude: We are indigenous to South Louisiana. We would like to show the world that we can make progressive music that also embraces this region's French-speaking tradition. We are joining a small but fervent group of young Louisianians engaged in keeping the language relevant via art. Also we would like to drink whiskey and dance all the time.

Cell 15 / Valdez

Cell15 is the brainchild of Robert Scott Richardson. In 2011, Robert had decided he wanted to write the progressive rock style that he loved. Raised on the great prog of the past, his love for King Crimson, Gentle Giant, Yes, Genesis and Pink Floyd influenced this musical decision. Twenty years of recovery had given him the subject matter, the advantage of owning his own recording studio gave him the place to work, and Cell15 was born.

Valdez is a four piece band of musicians from Philadelphia, with a passion for good songwriting and leaping the fences between genres. The group comprises of British frontman Simon Godfrey (ex-Tinyfish), who moved from the UK to the USA in 2014, Echolyn bassist Tom Hyatt, Cold Blue Electric keyboard player Joe Cardillo and ex- Stone Jack Baller drummer Scott Miller. |

Kenny K & The Way / The Feudale Brothers Band / The Outcrops / The Receptors

If you had to categorize the sound of the Feudale Brothers Band, it would be impossible because they are a category unto themselves. Based in Matawan, NJ, F.B.B. is a hard-rocking, blues inspired band, with a twist of alternative flare. What started as a part-time hobby for the band of brothers, eventually evolved into a full-time passion for writing, recording and playing varied styles of great music.

The Outcrops are a four-piece rock n roll band from way up north in Jersey. We groove to what we like, incorporating bits of the blues, folk, funk, jazz, and old country roots.

The Receptors are an accomplished band who play a innovative mix of American Hybrid Music-Rock, Rockabilly, Blues, Country and original songs as they see fit. Offering unique and interesting arrangements on classics, if you want to put some twang in your thang then check out these boys.

Bushwick Hotel / Ripped / Dinosaur Eyelids / Roi and The Secret People / The Foxfires

The Bushwick Hotel is a reimagining and reinterpretation of classic rock n roll flavor with modern retooling. “The band embraces today’s hybrid genres with touches of brass-band jazz and garage blues. The combination of sounds and conventions handpicked from the last fifty years of rock history combine into a potent, unexpected brew.” –Jack McManus Relix

Dinosaur Eyelids: "Many groups have claimed to be rock and roll, and while they undoubtedly were, very few can exemplify the scene’s various monumental sounds successfully in one album. This New Brunswick, New Jersey-based band has set the bar high for themselves, but with a raw talent like theirs, blowing away expectations seems like something they’re used to."-The Aquarian Weekly

Renowned for their exciting live shows, Roi and the Secret People (RSP) features the mesmerizing voice of Mike Roi and the musical talents of Craig Martyn on drums, Jason Hedrington on Moog/Keys, Glen Radomski on bass and Ed Golden on Guitar. Roi, who hails from South Florida, set out to assemble a group of talented, experienced, and like-minded musicians to create the version of rock music he wasraised with. Armed with all original music, RSP has played such renowned clubs as Rockwood Music Hall, Mercury Lounge and Arlene’s Grocery in New York City and The World Live Cafe,The Northstar Bar, The Tin Angel, and The Legendary Dobbs in Philadelphia.

The Foxfire's sound was forged by the ethereal and sometimes dark nature of post-punk and shoegaze bands such as My Bloody Valentine, Ride, and Joy Division; the bouncy Indie Pop nature of bands such as The 1975, Two Door Cinema Club, and Foals; and the summery beachy, and experimental folk sounds of bands like Wilco, Milo Greene, and Mumford and Son. The sound became known as "Seagaze" which was inspired by the band's collective love of the beach and the ocean. "Seagaze" is often described by the band as the sound you would want to feel while you're looking out at the ocean and is also inspired by Bruce Lee's speech about being like water- able to flow and open to change.
